Christmas!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas! Hope you all had a good one! I went up to WA for Christmas and visited my family. I love Christmas. Everyone spending time together just makes me feel little warm fuzzies inside. :) We got a TON of snow where I live. It was CRAZY! Tell me about your Christmas in the comments! Choir Concert

My school just had their first choir concert of the year on Dec 7th. It was awesome. We sang sooo much! I about passed out in the middle of our last song Hallelujah Chorus. It's MADNESS! It was way fun though. I can't wait for our next one. Our choir was pretty good except for one song. Russian Dance. You probably know it but I can't really post what it sounds like. Well in writing it's: Fa la la la la Fa la la la Fa la la la la Fa la la. And so on and so forth. Pretty boring right? It's really fast and crazy in real life. It was a total trainwreck! We all forgot our parts and it sounded like: Falalafalafalalalfalalalafahuh? But, it's over so I guess we can't do anything about it now. But as Timon (The Lion King) would say: Put your past behind you! Or as Pumba (also The Lion King) would say: Put your behind in the past. :) That always makes me laugh.

December

Ugh. December already. Another year is almost gone. The snow is here and it's way too cold!!! The good news is that Christmas is almost here! Yay! And New Years is always fun. What do you guys like/dislike about December? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all had a good one! Sorry I didn't write yesterday but I was having Thanksgiving with my family all day. Here is a challenge for you all: Make a list of 50 (that's right, 50) things you are thankful for. It may sound horrible but it's really easy. :) Today I got up at 3:30 a.m. (*yawn*) and went SHOPPING!!! Black Friday is one of my favorite holidays. The line at Target was crazy! The whole aspect of Black Friday is pretty weird I think. What crazy idiot people would get up at 2 in the morning to go shopping? Well, me I guess. :) But I have to admit, I am pretty crazy. :)

Flex Time

At my school we have a program called Flex Time. Here's the deal: If you have good grades, you can go to enrichment. If you have bad grades, you have to go to intervention. Enrichent is fun activies you can do. Intervention is study time with a teacher. I think this is a really good program. They have a lot of fun things you can do during Flex Time. Such as: Dancing, Kindergarten Crafts, French Club, Computer Games, Talk Time, etc. They have Flex Time every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Wednsday is early out day. Friday is a reading day. I think all schools should do Flex Time. :)

Student Led Conferences

Tonight I went to Student Led Conferences at my school. Student Led Conferences are when the student tells the parent how they are doing in school. Each student has to get an artifact from each class. An artifact is a big assignment that you have done that term. The student puts all their artifacts in a red folder that is kept by their 7th period teacher. Then on the day of the conference, you go to your 7th period teacher's room, get your red folder, and show the parent everything. It's a really good way for the parents to see the things that the kids have been doing. Just in case all the other assignments have been lost in the abyss that is their backpack.

A Blog!

Well, here I am. As my dad would say: The world is no longer safe from my ramblings. I've decided to create a blog. For those of you who don't know me, here's some information on the best subject in the world. ME!

My name is Brooklyn. But you can call me Brookie.
I absoloutley adore horses! I have been riding them since I was 3.
My birthday is May 3rd.
I'm also a musical person. I'm in choir at school and I love it! I've also been playing the piano for 11 years. Wow.
