Youth Nationals!!

I just got back yesterday from Youth Nationals in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was amazing. There was so much talent there! I couldn't believe what those kids were doing! I rode my horse Slick doing Hunt Seat. He was so good! This show is a little different than most shows. You have to get in the top eight in your first class to move on to the next class and then the championship. And there are only 2 given placings, 1st and 2nd. And you find out who that is in the championship round. So I was in my first class and I ended up moving on to the championship! So I was really happy. Then there was another qualifying class for a different championship that I was in and unfortunately I didn't move on. Even though it was the best ride that I did there at the shows. So...yeah. Then the next day was my championship. I got in the top ten! I was really happy and I got a plaque and everything! I didn't get 1st or 2nd but I'm pretty sure I got 3rd. :) The classes there were very hard. They went a lot longer than the ones I'm used to and the competition was a lot fiercer. But it was an amazing learning experience and I can't wait until next year! While I was there, I saw an advertisement for an online horse show! It's at www.horseshow.com. School's Out!

School is finished! Finally! It's summer! I love summer. I finally get to relax. I love going swimming in my pool and riding my horses. What do you like to do in the summer? Or what are your plans? Let me know in the comments! Have a great summer!

My Birthday!

My birthday was on May 3rd! I'm sorry that I didn't post sooner, but I've been busy. I woke up to a breakfast in bed and a giant panda stuffed animal sitting on my bed! It was a little creepy. I got somewhere around 21 shirts, 10 tank tops, and 6 pairs of pants. All from Aeropostale! I'm going to be a walking logo for the rest of my life! I have a choir competition this Saturday at Lagoon. That's an amusement park in Utah. I also have a horse competition next week. My horse, Slick, has been acting up a little lately so let's keep our fingers crossed!

New York

Over Spring Break, I went to New York City!!! It was awesome. I saw Wicked on Broadway. It was amazing. I definitely recommend going to see that if you ever go to New York. I did a lot of shopping. We went to a Mets game. I think I got a little hypothermia. :) We saw the Statue of Liberty and I got a little hypothermia there too. I didn't know New York was such a cold place! We went to the top of the Empire State Building and the Rockefeller Center. The view was beautiful. We went to Toys R Us and rode the Ferris wheel. We also went to the Museum of Natural History. That's where they filmed Night at the Museum! We walked through Times Square and rode the subway everywhere. I think that's it! It was really fun. What did you guys do over Spring Break? Easter!

Hey everyone! Happy Late Easter!! Sorry, I've been busy. :) So I went to the mall to get my Easter dress and I totally forgot. So I was the only one in my family who didn't have a nice new Easter outfit. :( I've recently become addicted to the website called http://www.howrse.com/. It's awesome! I'm so Busy!!

Oh my goodness! I'm so busy! Today, I had horseback practice for the show this weekend. This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, I have the show. I also have a choir concert on Friday. Then on Monday, I go with my dad for the week. Then on Friday, we go to New York! We're going to see Wicked and do lots of other fun stuff! Then, sometime in the week, we're going to Washington to visit family. Then on Sunday, I fly back home! Wow. But at least it's all fun!

Choir Contest

Last night, my school choir competed in a competition to see who was the best and got to sing on a CD and in a concert with the BYU Womens Chorus. We did our best and ended up winning! I'm so excited! I'm not going to go into a lot of detail but there were a few tears afterwards. :)

Horse Show & Other Stuff

Wow it's been a while since I've written. Well, I went to Scottsdale. I didn't do very well. The first ride he missed a lead (that means he cantered funny), and he spooked. I didn't get placed. We decided to try again. He did okay. I got 8th. Then we decided to try again. This class was the championship. That means they call the top ten first and then 2nd and then 1st. There were only 9 girls in the class so of course, I was going to get top ten. He spooked, reared, and missed a lead. My trainer decided that he was too dangerous to ride in the next class. We didn't do it. It was kind of sad. We got rid of that horse and now have a new one. I haven't ridden him yet. My sickness is gone though! There's a good thing! Well, I will talk to you guys later! Scottsdale and a Sickness

Well, the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show in Arizona is in a week! I'm so excited! But there is some bad news...I'm sick! Dun Dun Duuun! I have early symptoms of bronchitis. My throat hurts really bad.    :( But the doctor gave me some medicine that should help me feel better by the time I leave next week. Let's keep our fingers crossed!!

Getting Ready

It's almost here! I'm so excited! It's my favorite horse show of the year...The Scottdale, AZ Arabian Horse Show!!! I leave on Feb 15th. I just got a new horse for it. His name is Gambler. He's okay I guess. My goal is to have at least $120 by the time I get there. It's because they have this great shopping thing going on inside the grounds. I collect Breyer Horses and they have a big booth that sells them. I can't wait! Well, I will keep you guys posted!

New Year!

Sorry it's a little late but it's a new year! 2011 already. Wow. According to Back to The Future we're supposed to have flying cars in 4 years. But hey, anything could happen. :) I don't really belive in New Year Resolutions but I do make goals. One of my goals is to get in better shape. I know. It's probably everyone else's goal too. :) I am a weakling. I admit it. I'm a lazy couch potato. What are your goals? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Well, it's 2011! I can't believe it! This year has flown by soooo fast! This year was great. I got a new brother, I got horses, I made some new friends, and much more! It was an amazing year. I don't really believe in new year resolutions. I just make goals and deadlines. One of my goals is to keep better track of my money. I have some things this year that I need to save my money for. And that's way hard for a shopaholic like me. :) I hope you guys have a great 2011 planned and try hard to achieve your goals!
